About Champlain Valley Legal PLLC
Ashley L. Post, Esq. started CVL in 2025 with the goal of remaining active in Vermont’s real estate legal field while growing her family. CVL functions by providing top tier legal services to Vermont’s law firms while remaining behind the scenes.
Your firm remains the face of the file and engages in all client contact while CVL performs tasks such as title searches, deed preparation and title updates.
Outsourcing these tasks allows the firm to more promptly engage with clients and affiliates while continuing to get the essential legal work completed by a trustworthy, experienced attorney.
Ashley has been practicing real estate law in the greater Burlington area since 2019. She has worked with a variety of local law firms and has been an authorized agent of several title insurance companies. A member of the Vermont Bar Association, American Bar Association and previous member of New England Land and Title Association (NELTA), Ashley has formed relationships with members of all areas of the real estate field and built a reputation for providing thorough and professional legal work.
Being a member of the Vermont legal scene for over 6 years, Ashley has witnessed many busy real estate seasons and knows firsthand the sacrifices attorneys and their staff must make to get the job done. Ashley is seeking to fill the void the decreasing number of freelance title searchers has created. Although Ashley holds a law license and has been an associate at various firms, she is hoping to take on a more “behind the scenes” role which will allow her to equally prioritize her growing family.
Real estate law is unlike any other area of the law and anyone who is active in the industry knows how chaotic the summer season can be, or even the winter months when interest rates are low. On top of busy seasons, sometimes clients want to close on a quick timeline and your title searcher is already booked up, or perhaps that stack of title insurance updates keeps getting pushed to the side. An attorney or staff member may even be hoping to take a vacation, and the other members of the firm aren’t in a position to fully cover the work load. These are all examples of where CVL can help. Ashley can provide the part-time, overflow assistance you seek without the risk of competition as CVL is not seeking to be a full service law firm. Specializing in online title searches, updates and document preparation, CVL can help you stay on top of the workload and say yes to work you may have to turn down.
